Document Control Desk Washington, D.C.

20555 Gentlemen:

Subject:

Oyster Creek Nuclear Generatinc Station (OCNGS)

Operating License No, DPR-16 Docket No. 50-219 Generic Letter 88-20, Supplement 4, " Individual Plant Examination for External Events" (IPEEE) - Schedule In response to NRC letter dated June 30, 1992, GPUN has reassessed the schedule for completing the OCNGS IPEEE.

Evaluation of overall Integrated Schedule activities-and assessment of the status of IPE offorts for OCNGS and THI-l has indicated that sufficient resources can be re-allocated to an expedited completion schedule for the OCNGS IPEEE effort. However, it is recognized that as a result of the allocation of in-house resources to support an expedited completion of the THI-l IPEEE effort, and the walkdowns currently scheduled for the OCNGS Cycle 15R outage (Fall,1994) for the OCNGS IPEEE and A-46 Seismic Adequacy issues, completion of the OCNGS IPEEE could be impacted.

GPUN is expending every effort to complete the OCNGS IPEEE by June 30, 1995 but no later than December 22, 1995.

The OCNGS Integrated Schedule is being revised accordingly, and will identify any activities that must be deferred as a result of the schedule change.

This schedule reflects the most expeditious completion date possible considering present outage schedules and maximum use of in-house resources. We believe these efforts support the goal of timely resolution of severe accident issues.

E Sincerely,
