Fire diesel pump #2 was out of service for_ more than 7 days. This condition requires a special report per technical specification 3.12.B.2.

Egscription of Occurrence: l On July 24.--1992, fire diesel pump #2 was removed from service to replace battery cables that were cracked and deteriorated and a cooling wate solenoid valve (V-9-62). During replacement of V 9-62, the adjacent threaded piping was found to be corroded and also required replacement. In addition, the available scienoid valve did not have the correct voltage rating. The correct 24 volt DC coil was obtained from the manufacturer and the pump was returned to service on August 6, 1992. During-this period, fin e diesel pump #1 and the redundant fire pump were operable.
