Dear Mr. Hunter:
This letter provides the final report submitted pursuant to 10CFR50.55(e) concerning flooding of the Containment Spray Pump Room at Wolf Creek Generating Station (WCGS). This matter was initially reported on March 27, 1984 and supplemental information was provided in the Reference.
As described in the Reference, a weather-related transmission system failure caused tae loss of all temporary construction electrical power to the Power Block. The loss of temporary power combined with ongoing flushing operatior.s resulted in an accumulation of water in the Containment Spray Pump Room. During the event various pieces of equipment were sub-merged for a period of time. All equipment involved has been dried, cleaned, and/or replaced as necessary. Subsequently all involve 6 equipment was tested before being returned to service.
