Dear Mr. O'Reilly:
Carolina Power and Light (CP&L) has received the subject report and requests an extension to the period allowed for review and response.
IE Inspection Report IER-84-17, dated June 29, 1984, which was addressed to the Plant, has not been received by H. B. Robinson Document Control.
Howeve r, a copy of the report was received July 13, 1984, via the General Office.
Based on the delay in receiving this report, CP&L requests an extension t o Augus t 10, 1984. This will provide the necessary time to adequately review the report and prepare a response in accordance with H. B. Robinson's policy for NRC correspondence.
