Gentlemen:

While reviewing data from previously submitted semiannual radioacti e effluent release reports for CP5ES, it was discovered that some dcta had been reported erroneously in the end-of-year 1990 (Reference 1) and 1991 (References 2 and 3) semiannual reports. The tables attached to this letter reflect coirected dat,.i and.are reported herein in order ta revise the affetted tables in the previously submitted reports. Each table should be substituted for the corresponding table in the original :emiannaal report.

The errors contributing to data inaccuracies in the original reports were t :-

determined to have been introduce <1 as follows: user editable software parameters affecting the average diluted concentration and Offsite Oose Calculation Manual "Y"'J radiological ef fluent control limits f or tritium, fission and activa > " prrducts, and dissolved and entrained gases, were not updated correctly dus nig the 3rd and 4th quarter of 1990: data entry errors occurred during the generation of the end-of-year 1990 and mid-year 1991 reports: and calculation errors occurred in the computation of the total curie content for both 1991 semiannual reports, thus affecting the report +d nuclide composition of dry compressible waste and contaminated equipment v ol ume s ,

! TXX-92422 Page E of 2 An evaluation of these errors shows that CPSES remained in compliance with the applicable radiological ef fluent controls. Corrective m isures have been implemented to provide additional assurance that these type of errors do not recur.
