c tion of Oclyrren.c_qi The #1 fire diesel pump was removed form service on August 7,1992 to perform routine quarterly; preventive maintenance tasks. When the pump was being returned to service on August 11, 1992, the diesel engine overheated during the operability surveillance. Corrective action was taken to replace the cooling water solenoid valve (V-9-52) and install new cooling water strainers.

The #1 fire diesel pump again tested and declared operable on August 15, 1992.

During this entire period, the #2 fire diesel pump and the backup suppression

-water system were operable.
