Valves:
D3V-1, D3V-2, D3V-17, D3V-18, D3V-27, D3V-28, D3V-29, D3V-30, D3V-31, D3V-32 Function:
These are the essential valves comprising the coolant water flow path of the Emergency Diesel and its associated lube oil system.
Test Requirement:
EF-lF Basis for Relief:
The emergency diesels are required to be tested monthly in accordance with the facility technical specifications.
The starting and operation of the emergency diesels requires use of this system.
Alternate Testing:
Each diesel will be tested in accordance with plant technical specifications. Current technical specifications require each diesel be tested monthly. The successful completion of this test shall denote the subject valves are allowing coolant flow.
The valves are disassembled for a visual inspection of the disk and seating surface at 5,000 hours0 days
0 hours
0 weeks
0 months
of diesel operation or 5 years, whichever comes first.
