'Ihis circular has been prepared to provide ir. formation on the shipment of irradiated reactor fuel (spent fuel) subject to regulation by the Nuc! car Regulatory Commission (NRC). and to meet the requirements of l'ublic Law 96-295. 'lhe report provides a brief description of NRC authority for certain aspects of transporting spent fuel. It provides descriptive statistics on spent fuel shipments reguleted by the NRC from 1979 to 1991.
It also lists detailed highway and railway segments used within each state from October 1,1987 through De.
cember 31,1991.
