Dear Mr. Stolz:
On November 12, 1984, Toledo Edison (TED) submitted an application (Serial No. 1100) for an Amendment to Facility Operating License No. NPF-3 for the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Unit No. 1.
This amendment requested that the Operating License be amended to include License Condition 2.C.(3)(t) regarding the Startup Feedwater Pump (SUFP) system. To support the NRC Staff's technical review of tLis request, Mr. A. W. DeAgazio, NRC Project Manager for Davis-Besse, has indicated the desirability of hydrostatic testing the Turbine Plant Cooling Water (TPCW) pipeline in the auxiliary feedwater pump rooms (Rooms 237 and 238) to ensure the pipeline's integrity.
This letter is to notify the NRC Staff that on December 20, 1984, TED completed hydrostatic testing this TPCW pipeline to ANSI B31.1 criteria with acceptable results.
Since this submittal is in response to a NRC Staff request for additional kf information on a license amendment for which TED has already provided the amendment fee payment, no additional fee is incurred.
