E. Fredrickson on October 29, 1984 in accordance with 10 CFR 50.55(e) as NCR 3615. Enclosed is our first interim report., We expect to submit our next report on or about March 25, 1985. We consider 10 CFR Part 21 applicable to this deficiency.

NCR 3615 FIRST INTERIM REPORT Description of Deficiency Reinspection of several structural components, which had been inspected and approved, revealed that several components do not meet requirements documented in Bellefonte Quality Control Procedure (QCP) 2.15 and design drawings. Some of the affected components include stairs, ladders, platforms, tank supports, and pipe supports. Approximately 73 percent of the total items ' reinspected failed to meet the referenced requirements.
Interim Progress TVA is presently determining the scope of the problem and required corrective actions.
