E. D. Swartz letter to J. G. Keppler dated July 19, 1984

Dear Mr. Keppler:

References (a), (b) and (c) provided information concerning a deficiency reportable pursuant to 10 CFR 50.55(e) regarding L. K.

Comstock Document Review at our Braidwood Station.

The purpose of this letter is to provide an updated status of the corrective actions taken to resolve this issue.

This letter is considered to be an Interim Report.

Status of Corrective Actions Since the submittal of Reference (c), reconciliation of existing documentation for cable pans and junction boxes has been completed.

No significant deficiencies were identified.

Only document reviews associated with existing concrete expansion anchor, weld and configuration inspections remain incomplete.

This reconcilation effort, which was delayed as reported in Reference (c), was reinitiated on October 1, 1984 and is ongoing.

Completion is now expected by January 31, 1985.

To date no deficiencies have been identified which require extensive rework and only limited field inspection has been required.

Commonwealth Edison Project Construction will continue to monitor progress of the entire document review program and provide a status update to your office by January 31, 1985.
