Washin ; ten. D.C. 20005 TEMORANDMI OF AGREE 1ENT WlEREAS, the !!ouston Lighting and Power Company has applied to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Comission for a permit to cons truct the Allens Crcck Nuclear Generating Station, Units One and Two; and 4
4 WHEREAS, the Nuc1 car Regulatory Con =ission, in consultation with the Texas Historic Preservation Officer, has determined that this undcrtaking as proposed uould have an adverse effect upon the Earnest Uitte Site (41AU36), Aus tin County, Texas, a property included in the National Register of Historic Places; and WTEREAS, pursuant to Section 106 of the national Historic Preservation Act of 1966, the Nuclear Regulatory Corniscion has requested the cor.nents of the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation;-
and WICREAS, pursuant to the procedures of the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (30 C.F.R. Part 800), representatives of the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation, the Nuclear Regulatory Comission and tha Texac Historic Preservatien Officer have consulted and revicued the undertal:ing to consider feasibic and prudent alternatives to avoid or satisfactorily nitigate the adverse effect; nou THEPIFORE:
