Dear Dr. Calsoyas:

This is in response to your letter dated April 7,1984, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, positive identification of the Mother's for Peace of San Luis Obispo and the calculations performed by the Pacific Gas and Electric Company in which "a large earthquake on the Nacimiento Fault" and "an earthquake equal to the 1906 San Francisco earthquake on the San Andreas Fault" were considered.

Enclosed, please find a computer printout which consists of a list of documents pertaining to Mother's for Peace of San Luis Obispo.

Information with regard to the calculations perfonned by Pacific Gas and Electric Company in which a large earthquake on the Nacimiento Fault and an earthquake equal to the 1906 San Francisco earthquake on the San Andreas Fault were considered is contained in the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant Final Safety Analysis Report, Volume II, Section 2.5.2 pages 2.5.13g through 2.5.16. This report is available for public inspection and copying at the NRC Local Public Document Room listed below:
