Georgia Power Company (GPC) hereby submits three copies ofRevision 1 to Amendment 29 of the VEGP Unit 1 and Unit 2 Physical Security and Contingency Plan (the Security Plan), in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54 (p),10 CFR 50.4, and an exemption from the requirements from 10 CFR 73.55 (d)(5). These three pages should supersede their respective counterpart pages and should supplement the other unchanged pages of Amendment 29 previously submitted by letter LCV-0542-B on September 15,1995. By copy of this letter two copies of Revision 1 to Amendment 29 are being provided to the NRC Region II office.
The NRC exemption request from 10 CFR 73.55 (d)(5), granted by letter dated July 12, 1995, only becomes effective when the hand geometry biometrics system is ready for implementation and the corresponding revisions to the Security Plan have been submitted, reviewed and approved by the staff.
