" Reactor Vessel Structural Integrity" Supplement 1 to the subject Generic Letter was issued on May 19,1995 and requested certain information concerning reactor vessel structural integrity. The requests are divided into four parts.

GPU Nuclear letter dated August 16,1995 endorsed a report entitled "BWRVIP Action Plan For RPV Integrity Data" which was submitted on behalf of the BWR licensees on August 10, 1995 by the BWR Vessel and Internals Project (BWRVIP) Group in response to Part 1 of the

" Required Information" in Supplement I to the Generic Letter. GPU Nuclear is a member of the BWRVIP Group.

nc Ng As indicated in the BWRVIP report, no near term actions are needed in response to the issues g

raised in Supplement 1. Longer term efforts are being formulated and pursued with other industry groups through NEI. Based on the results of those longer term efforts, the BWRVIP will make appropriate recommendations to its member utilities.
