Operating License NO. DPR-16 Docket No. 50-219 Response to Supplement I to Generic letter 92-01, Revision 1,
" Reactor Vessel Structural Integrity" Supplement I to Generic Letter (GL) 92-01, Revision 1, " Reactor Vessel Structural Integrity" was issued on May 19,1995 which requested all licensees to develop a plan to locate all data relevant to their RPV integrity by August 19,1995, and to adjust plant evaluations based on that data by November 20,1995.
The purpose of this letter is to inform you that on August 10, 1995 BWR Vessel & Internals Project (BWRVIP) Group submitted the "BWRVIP Action Plan For RPV Integrity Data" on behalf of the BWR licensees in response to the Supplement I to GL 92-01, Revision 1. GPU Nuclear is a member of the BWRVIP Group. Prior to the submittal GPU Nuclear reviewed and concurred with the response. Therefore, the August 10,1995 BWRVIP Group submittal referenced above provides the OCNGS response to Supplement 1 to GL 92-01, Rev.1.
GPU Nuclear will continue to participate in the BWRVIP cfforts to determine completeness of the RPV material data and evaluate impacts of any discrepancies in the data for OCNGS.
As indicated in the BWRVIP Action Plan, the BWRVIP Group will provide by November 20, 1995 an industry assessment to show that adequate margins exist in the near term in both P-T curves and upper shelf energies for BWR plants based on preliminary data available.
