Enclosed are three (3) originals and thirty-seven (37) copies of addi-tional information provided to support our Application for Amendment to our Operating License to eliminate Technical Specification, Appendix B.
The additional information, Soil Chemistry Program Sample Analysis, is in re-sponse to your letter dated February 7,1984 which recommends that we com-plete the 1983 soil sampling and aerial photography surveys and submit the results.
A copy of the aerial photographs was previously submitted to the NRC, and during April 1984 NRC staff members reviewed the aerial photographs at the BVPS-1 site and found the results acceptable. Therefore, we have de-termined that it is not necessary to provide additional copies of the aerial photographs.
The soil chemistry program sample results provide the additional justi-fication necessary to confirm the results of the summer 1983 survey, that there is no detrimental impact to the terrestrial environment due to the operation of Beaver Valley Unit No.1.
Therefore, in response to your letter and based on the survey results herein provided along with the survey results previously provided, by letter dated November 3, 1983, we hereby request amendment to the technical specifications to eliminate Appendix B.
Since this letter provides additional information in support of our request for which a fee was paid, we have determined that no amendment i
application fee is required.
