Dear Mr. Denton:
In accordance with 10CFR50.71(e), South Carolina Electric and Gas Company, acting for itself and as agent for South Carolina Public Service Authority, herewith files thirteen (13) sets of the updated Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) for the Virgil C.
Summer Nuclear Station.
The material, submitted under separate cover, contains one.(1) signed original and twelve (12) copies thereof.
In addition, attached to this letter are thirteen (13) copies of pages 12.1-72, 13.1-17, 13.1-18, 13.1-19, and 13.1-20 of the subject FSAR, which are forwarded separately because of a collating error.
This FSAR is updated as of March 1, 1984 and includes the effects of:
all changes made in the facility or procedures as described in the FSAR; all safety evaluations performed by the Licensee, either in support of requested license amendments or in support of conclusions that changes did not involve an unreviewed safety question; and that all analyses of new safety issues performed by or on behalf of the Licensee at Commission request.
