This problem was reported in a telephone conversation between T. Loomis (Nine Mile Point Unit 2 Licensing) and Mr. S. Collins of your staff on May-16,1984.

Concerning Electrical Penetration Assemblies (55(e) 17)

T Description of the Problem -

'The problem concerns the_ low voltage power'and control type penetration assemblies supplied:by Conax Corporation.

Nine Mile Point Unit 2 Specification No. NMP2-E021P requires that these penetration assemblies meet the requirementslof IEEE 317-76.

Conax qualification report concludes that the assemblies meet the requirements of IEEE 317-76.

However, the matter is still under investigation, and a final report will be i

submitted by August. 15, 1984.
