I have personal knowledge of the matters stated herein and believe them to be true and correct.

This affidavit is made in support of Applicants' Motion for Asunary Disposition of Eddleman Contantion 45.

The purpose cf thic affidavit 10 to confirm that the sloping design of the steam supply line to the auxiliary feedwater turbine referred to in Paragraph VI.2 of Mr. Dean Shah's affidavit will be verified by Applicants prior to fuel loading at SHNPP.

As stated in Paragraph VI.2 of Mr. Shah's affidavit, the steam supply line to the auxiliary feedwater turbine has been designed to slope in the direction of the steam flow.

5.

Applicants will verify that this piping is in fact sloped in accordance with design specifications through the following rethods.

The SHUPP site has control elevation points based upon survey points established by the United States Department of Interior.

7.

Plant structures have been constructed in accordance with design drawings which include design elevations.

8.

Subsequent to construction of plant structures, control survey points are established within the structures for the purpose of installing cceponents, piping, hangers, conduit and the like.

9.

Piping, including the steam cupply line, is installed in accordance with design drawings.

10. Elevation and slops are included in the design input and are reflected on design drawings.
11. Subsequent to installation an "as-constnicted" reconciliation of ASME Code Section III Class 1, 2, and 3 piping, which includes the steam supply line, will be performed in accordance with the requirements of the ASME Code.

12. The liarris Plant Construction Department has issued a formal procedure to direct the reconciliation effort. This procedure is

currently being revised to specifically require verification that this slope of the steam supply line is in accordance with design requirements.

13. Should any deviation frca design be detected, the installed system will be miified to mke it emply with design requirements.
