This will confirm our discussion on May 24, 1984.
We have performed detailed studies bearing on the safety classifications of protective coatings inside containment.
Sump performance is the primary basis for requiring con-tainment coatings to be safety-related.
Therefore, our studies have focused on sump performance and have taken into account UUREG 0897.
These studies were performed by our A/E Gibbs & IIill and by Ebasco.
In addition, a modeling test of the sump was performed in 1981 by Western Canada Ilydraulic Laboratories.
I request a meeting in Bethesda on June 7, 1984 with you and other personne] you deem appropriate to discuss these studies and a related FSAR Amendment that we propose to file.
I propose to delivery ten (10) copies of our studies to you on June 4, 1984.
