POINT BEACH NUCLEAR PLANT UNITS 1 AND 2 on December 21, 1990, Wisconsin Electric Power Company, licensee for Point Beach Nuclear Plant Units 1 and 2, submitted a request for a schedular exemption to Regulation 10 CFR 50.48(d) (4) in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 50.12.
In a letter dated March 14, 1991, this request for a schedular exemption was denied.
The purpose of this letter is to advise you of the progress of the installation of the switchgear room bypass modification at the Point Beach Nuclear Plant.
All major equip-ment, including transformer /switchgear, motor control centers, control panel, r.nd local transfer switches, have been installed.
Installation of cable tray, conduit, and cable was essentially completed on April 17, 1991.
The rearrangement of the normal power supplies to the four residual heat removal pumps was completed by May 1, 1991.
This arrangement routes the normal power supply for each pump through a normal-alternate source switch.
