Dear Sir:
Iw As a result of a recent compliance inspection, we wish to amend R-72, our license to possess but not use a reactor located near Clearfield, Pennsylvania.
The inspector pointed out that reactor components were not located where in-dicated in our application and that the reactor pool was being used for other purposes.
Accordingly, we wish approval for the following changea:
1.
The Pu (14.99 gm) - Be neutron source, two fission chambers and the reactor core grid plate have been transferred to Mr. E. Geisler, Pennsylvania State University, State College, Pennsylvania.

The small section of the pool is designated as the "NUMEC, Interium Pool l
Irradiator".
Details of design, construction and operation are pre-sented in a letter to DML, dated January 19, 1968.

The large pool is presently being modified to accommodate the "NUMEC l
' col Irradiator".
It is described in a letter to DML, dated June 27, 1968.
l There have been no changes in the enriched uranium fuel elements at the facility.
l They are stored in the locked SNH vault.
