The subject IE Bulletin requested that holders of construction permits submit a report describing the actions taken or planned regarding materials used in safety-related systems which were supplied by Tube-Line Corporation.
The Supply System has conducted a thorough search of its own purchases and requested all suppliers and contractors to review their subcontractors' procurement documents and respond in writing to the Supply System.
Combustion Engineering (CE), WNP-3 NSSS Supplier, responded that all but one vendor (CTI-Nuclear) supplying material for application on WNP-3 have replied.
The Supply System has confirmed that Tube-Line products were supplied and utilized in fabrication of the Emergency Diesel Generators.
The suspect material was used to fabricate the channel nozzle flanges in the Lube Oil, i
Jacket Water, and Inter-Cooler Heat Exchangers. The subject material has been identified on a site nonconformance report and a material evaluation is currently in progress.

s The Supply System will continue efforts to obtain confirmation from the remaining CE subvendor and forward results of the material evaluation and any subsequent actions / schedules regarding the Emergency Diesel Generator nozzle flanges.
As requested by the subject Bulletin, time expended during research, evaluation and preparation of a written response has amounted to approxi-mately three hundred and fifty (350) manhours of Supply System effort. We did not request the suppliers keep track of time spent performing their reviews.
However, based on the number of WNP-3 suppliers involved (58), we estimate that response to the bulletin required several hundred manhours of suppliers' time.
