2325 OYSTER CREEK NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION FORKED RIVER, NEW JERSEY 08731 Abnormal Occurrence Report No. 50-219/75/28 IDENTIFICATION OF OCCURRENCE:
Failure of solenoid for valve V-28-24 (Standby Gas Treatment Orifice Valve) which subsequently rendered Standby Gas Treatment System #1 inoperabic.
This event is considered to be an Abnorrtl Occurrence as defined in the Technical Specifications, para-grrph 1.15D.

DESCRIPTION OF OCCURRENCE:
On Wednesday, October 15, 1975 at approximately 2325 the " Emergency Exhaust System EF-1-8 Fan Trip" alarm was received in the Control Room. Subsequently it was found that the control circuit fuse for fan EF-1-8 was blown.

ANALYSIS OF OCCURRENCE:
Since the Standby Gas Treatment System is a redundant system and full required processing capability is availabic through the other system (System #2) the only safety significance of this event is the loss of Standby Gas Treatment System redundancy.
CORRECTIVE ACTION:
Initial corrective action was to replace the. defective solenoid coil with a new one.
