SECOND INTERIM REPORT Description _of Dorietency All incoro monitoring system piping for unit 1 was out approximately 1-1/2 inches too long as a rarJ1t of an error in establishing the length of the gauge used to measure each pipe. The cause of this deficiency was misinterpretation of lengths of the cortified chain. The first foot is graduated in tenths of a foot and site engineering and QC personnel interpreted this as irchen which resulted in this deficiency.

Interim _ Progress All deficient unit 1 incore tubos have boon remonsured and these dimensions will be evaluated by P1bcock and Wilcox (B&W). TVA will provide a final report upon recolpt of corrootive nation / recommendations from D&'f.
