t Gentlemen:
l In accordance with the provisions of Supplement 1-to NUREG-0737,
. Alabama Power Company submitted a Program Plan by letter dated October 31, 1983 for conducting a CRDR for the Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2. 'By letter dated March 9,1984, the NRC Staff transmitted coments on this Program Plan to Alabama Power Company and recommended that a meeting be held'during March or April of 1984.
Alabama Power Company has reviewed the NRC Staff coments and has detemined that the recommended meeting would not prove meaningful at this time. This determination is based on the INPO NUTAC documents for CRDR not
- having been reviewed by the_ NRC Staff. The INP0 NUTAC documents fom the i
basis for Alabama Power Company's Program Plan and will be used to support i
CRDR activities.. Alabama' Power Company believes that NRC Staff review of the INPO NUTAC documents. is' essential prior to further discussion on the Program Plan. To support this review the INPO NUTAC documents are herein enclosed.as a supplement totour letter dated October 31, 1983.
Alabama Power Company is comitted to conduct a complete and effective CRDR and desires to meet, if appropriate, for further discussion on the
' Program Plan following-NRC' Staff review of the INPO NUTAC documents.
