Dear Chairman Palladino and Members of the Commission:

On behalf of the Joint Intervenors to the above-entitled proceeding, I would like to renew our request that the.

Commission's vote on Pacific Gas and Electric Company's application for reinstatement of the suspended Diablo Canyon low power operating license be held in San Luis Obispo, California.

As indicated previously, the purpose of this request.is to permit the persons most affected by your licensing decision to hear the recommendations by your Staff and to observe your deliberations and vote.

Granting of this request would be an important step in restoring public confidence in this Commission and in the safety of Diablo Canyon by increasing public awareness of and participation in the Commission's decisionmaking process.
