Dear Chairman Palladino and Memberc of the Commission:
Enclosed please find the Joint Intervenors' Renewal of Application for Stay, filed with the Appeal Board today in the above-entitled proceeding.
In light of the March 26, 1984 scheduled Commission vote on reissuance of the suspended Diablo Canyon low power operating license, we are renewing our request for stay to permit completion of administrative review and an opportunity for court review of the proceeding.
This application is being filed with the Commission now in order to ensure its timely consideration simultaneous with the Commission's decision on reissuance of the license.
l The Commission's immediate attention is directed to the final paragraph of the attached application, in which the Joint Intervenors request at leas _t the grant of a limited stay sufficient to permit them to apply to the United States Court l
of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit for an emergency stay in the event of a Commission vote to reissue the license.
The purpose of such a limited stay is solely to preserve the status quo for the period of several days to a week necessary for the court to review the Joint Intervenors' 8403220106 840320 PDR ADOCK 05000275 o

Because an application to the court for such a limited stay will be necessary this weak unless the Commission grants the request, the Joint Intervenors hereby request a decision on their application for a limited stay by the close of business on March 21, 1984.
