Dear Sir:

In compliance with 10CFR Part 50.55 Para. Equipment for Peach Bottom Units 2 and 3 was being stored at the Middletown warehouse for subsequent shiment to the Peach Bottom site.

The warehouse property is located south of Harrisburg, Pa. near the Swadee Creelc a tributary or the Susquehanna River. Due to heavy rains associated with the subject stom this small stream rose an estimated eighteen (18) feet inundating the Middletown warehouse and storage facility with from seven (7) to thirteen (13) feet of water.

Our Architect-Engineer / Constructor is currently perfoming an inventory / inspection of flood damaged Peach Bottom equipment and components for Units 2 and 3 Equipent vendors have been contacted, to detemine the extent of damage and the amount of rework, replacement or repair which will be required. As part of this program, approximately 30f, of the stored material has been retumed to the vendor shops for detail inspection prior to reworic. It cannot be determined at this time when the inventory / inspection and the vendor assessment of damnge to equipent will be completed. The Philadelphia Electric Company will submit the detailed report when the inventory and assessment of damage is completed and when the corrective action p nW 8402280601 720901 $0 PDR ADOCK 05000277 I
