O r c= 2 Description of Occurrence:
During a routine local leak rate test, the HPCI Turbine Exhaust Check Valve, was found to leak in excess of 2000 cc/ min.
Designation of Apcarent Cause of Occurrence:
The check valve's failure to seal tightly was caused by minor -
surface imperfections in the disc and seat.
Analysis of Occurrence:
The safety implications of this occurrence are minimal since the inner turbino exhaust isolation stop check valve (23-12) closed and sealed satisfactorily.
Corrective Action:
The valve was disassembled, the disc machined and the seat lapped. The valve was satisfactorily leak tested and returned to servic e.
