Excessive leakage thru check valve (1" - 276Y) immediately downntream of AO-2969-B (Instrument Nitrogen System).
Conditions Prior to Occurrence:
Unit 2 shutdown for piping inspection.
Description of Occurrence:
During a routine local leak rate test the above identified check valve una foun to leak in excess of 2000 cc/ min.
Designation of Apparent Cause of Occurrence:
l Cause of the leakage is under investigation.
Analysis'of Occurrence:
The safety implications of this occurrence are minimal since the downstream isolation valve, AO-2969B,vas found to close and neal satisfactorily.
Corrective Action:
The valve vill be maintained as required to achieve an acceptable leakage rate.
Failure Data:
None.
