2 Identification of Occurrence:
3A Standby Liquid Control Pump crippcd.
.; g Conditions Prior to Occurrence:
Unit 3 at approxinately 99.8%.

Description of Occurrence:
While perfor..ing the Stendby Liquid Control Pucp Functions 1 Test, ST 6.1. the "3A" pump failed to start on two attempts; in each case the circuit breaker tripped. Af ter nanually resetting the breaker the third tire, the pu::rp ran satisfactorily.

Desiguccion of Apparent Cause of Occurrence:
The cause for these circuit breaker trippings is under investigation.
Analysis of Occurrence
- 1 Tho safety significance of this occrrrence is minical since the 3D pu=p operated antisfectorily several clinutes before the 3A pu=g tripped. Further, within s:inutes af ter the initial tripping the 3A was operated satisfactorily.
Corrective Action:
Subcoquent to the trippins. the spu:p vcs started five tittec; circuit brecker operation was monitored. Each start was successful. Investigation is continuing.
