20045 Subj ec t: Docket No. 50-261 Carolina Power & Light Company Dear Dr. Morris; In the course of' cons truc ting the H. B. Robinson Unit No. 2 containment building, an unanticipated minor amount of oxidization was found on the lower section of the vertical prestressing tendon surfaces.
Examination indicates the tendons are in satisfactory condition but that it was deemed advisable to improve the corrosion protection system for them.

A copy of this report has been furnished to Mr. Long of tl$c AEC, Division of Compliance to confirm and supplement the information given him by telephone on February 15, 1968, in a meeting at the plant site on March 3, 1968, and by phone on April 17, 1968.
