Dear Mr..'Keppler:
The purpose of this letter is to provide you with notification.of
.an Abnormal occurrence as required by Technical specification
-6.'6.B.1.a swithin"24. hours of the occurrenco.
The Unit.2 APRM-RBM reference flows.were found to be.approximately 7$ greater than the indicated percent.of rated -core flow.
A core flow calibration' verified the accuracy of the indicated core flow.
. A check.of the. drive flow transmitter calibrations, which requires 1/2...soram, will..be performed at the earliest. opportunity.
.In
.athe interim, the, gains of the total edrive flow proportional.ampli-fiers (2"260-BA and B) chave been adjusted so that the. APRM refer-ence. flows correspond to the ' core flow.
This lends the required
. conservatism to the flow biased trip settings until further in-vestigation determines the :cause of the instrument drift.
This. occurrence was discussed ;by telephone with Mr.. Jordan of your office on October :25,1974.
