LIMITOROUE VALVE OPERATORS

Dear Mr. Weaver:

In response to TVA letter no. 2590 of 12/14/72, please find attached a list of Sequoyah motor operated valves which use Limitorque

, operators. -

There are forty-four (44) motor operated valves assigned to Sequoyah units 182. These valves are used in the Reactor Coolant, Residual Heat Removal, Chemical and Volume Control and Safety Injection Systems. '

. . . .,c 7 Information of shop order numbers, operator serial numbers and dates of manufacture are not ir=ediately available; however, all Sequoyah motor operators fall within the suspect production group and it is our intention to perform corrective action on all these valves. The

. torque switches will be replaced with switches certified by Limitoique -

as having correct torsion springs. After the replacement the valves will be actuated to assure proper operation.
