Dear Mr. O' Leary:
In our letter to you of August 24, 1973, we stated as an item of corrective action that we would install enclosure tents to contain residual airborne activity when steem generator manvays are open if access to the primary side of the steam generators is required in the future.
As an alternative to this action, we propose to provide means of ensuring a slightly negative air pressure at the manvay in lieu of an enclosure tent. This will be accomplished by use of a fan-charcoal absolute filter. installed at a second manvay opening. We expect this configuration to reduce the total time required to enter and exit the area, thus reducing the total radiation exposure to personnel.
