Dear Mr. Keppler:
The purpose of this letter is to provide you with notification of an Abnormal Occurrence as required by Technical Specification 6.6.D.1.a within 24 hours2.777778e-4 days <br />0.00667 hours <br />3.968254e-5 weeks <br />9.132e-6 months <br /> of the occurrence.

At 5:00 p.m. on April 14, 1975, with Unit 1 operating at 800 tiWe, while perform-ina surveillance testina on the EHC fluid low oressure sensors, it was discovered that three of the four pressure switches tripped below the Technical Specification setpoint of > 900 psig.
The switches were recalibrated to.>930 psig.
Due to the inordinate amount of setpoint drift experienced with these pressure switches, the surveillance frequency is being increased to weekly and an action item is being submitted to the engineering department to investigate and procure a more reliable type of pressure switch.
This occurrence was discussed by telephone with Mr Feierabend of your office on April 15, 1975 Further information will be provided by Abnormal Occurrence Report A0 50-254/75-8 which will be submitted within 10 days of the date of this occurrence.
