Cn June 23, 1975, while testing the operability of the Reactor Building to Tcrus vacuum breakers, vacuum breaker 2-1601-31A exceeded its maximum opening t=rque of 50 f t.

Vacuum breaker 2-1601-318-tested satisfactorily.
The vacuum breaker was locked closed as per section 3 7.A.3.b of the Technical Specif! cations.
This occurrence was discussed by telephone with Mr. Feierabend of your office on June 24, 1975 Further information will be provided by Abnormal Occurrence Report A0 50-265/75-20 which will be submitted within 10 days of the date of thic occurrence.
