The purpose of this letter is to provide you with notification of an Ab-
. normal Occurrence as requi red by Techni cal Speci fi cation 6.6.B.'l.a.-wi thin -

, At 11 :00, a.m. cri itay 20, 1975, while performing routine surveillancCtesting- ~~

on the electrohydraulic control system low pressure sensors, pressure switch I-5600-PS-3 tripped at 890 PS! C, which is below the Techni. cal Speci fication limit 'f > 900 PSIG. The swi tch was then recalibrated to 935 PSI G.
o Due to the f requency of setpoint drif t beyond the limi ts for these swi.tches, the surveillance f requency has been increased from quarterly to weekly and-an action i tem has been issued to-the station Nuclear Engineering Department, to investigate possible replacement switches.
This occurrence was discussed by telephone with Mr. Feierabend of your ~ office on May 29, 1975 Further information wi11 be provided by Abnormal Occurrence Report A0'50-254/75-15 which will be submitted within 10 days ~of the'date-of" this occurrence.
