Dear Mr. Keppler:
The purpose of this letter is to provide you with notification of an Abnormal Occurrence as required by Technical Specification 6.6.B.1.a within 24_ hours of the occurrence.
On October 20, 1975, while performing monthly calculations of iadwaste discharges, it was discovered that Batch 3709, from the Laundry Drain Sample Tank, was dis-charged-on October 4,1975 at a rate which resulted in an activity in excess of the Technical Specifications limit of 1.0 x 10~7 uCl/mi in the Spray Canal blow-down line. The monthly calculations reveale activityintheblowdownlinewas4.42x10-jthattheactualradwastedischarge uCi/ml.
This occurrence was discussed by telephone with Mr. Feierabend of your office on October 20, 1975 Further information will be provided by Abnormal Occurrence Report A0 50-254/75-22 which will be submitted within 10 days of the date of this occurrence.
