This created a condi-tion whereby had core spray booster pu=p NZ038 failed to start or failed to catabli:h a dischargo pressure of 230 psig its associated redundcnt booster purp, NZO3D, would not have started auto:atically. ,.. ~ energized position.. An investigation indicated that the System II core spray booster pump dischargo pressure switch, RV40D, which sctuates.this relay was in the closed position. The switch

Norcally closed contacts from the 1K114D relay act in conjunction with the IK114B zul,ay and RV40B pressure switch to trip the NZ033 boostor pu p and start the.re'dundant NZO3D booster pu p if the pucp does not co:o up to.230 psig after five seconds. Failtire of the switch in the closed position created a condition whereby NZO3B would not have tripped if it-falled to start or l establish'suffici'ent' dischargo pressure and pu p NZO3D would not '.
