Letter from B. B. Stephenson to J. F. O' Leary dated June 20, 1974 Dear Mr. Keppler In response to an internal audit made by the off-site review function, the following additional information is supplied to complete the incident reporting requirement.
In light of the cumulative experience in which the previous anubbers failed as a result of the brittle polyurethane seal material, the continued 120 day inspection of these drywell snubbers will minimize the possibility of a more inoperable snubbers. In addition, as a result of the present (June 20, 1974) anubbers failures, a review of design loadings of the area where some of these snubbers are located is being made. The results of this review will be documented in a followup letter along with other snubber information as conunitted to in the June 20, 1974 letter referenced above.
