Dear Mr. Martin:
The referenced letter indicated, in pa::t, that the 1990 operating examinations for Unita 2 and 3 operators were not performed within the time requirements specified in 10 CFR SS.59(a).
As a result of this discrepency, SCE performed a Quality Assurance (QA) evaluation of the Nuclear Training Department (NTD) for compliance with other 10 CFR 55.59 training requirements.
In telephone conversations between Messrs.
L. Miller (NRC) and R.
L.
Sandstrom (SCE) on August 12 and 13, 1991, Mr. Miller requested that SCE send a copy of the QA report documenting the evaluation of NTD.
Accordingly, enclosed is a copy of the QA report.
