50-260 50-296 By letter from L. M. Mills to you dated April 15, 1983, we submitted our response to Generic Letter No. 82-33, regarding Supplement 1 to NUREG-0737, for the Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant. In item C of the April 15 enclosure, we committed to submit information addressing Regulatory Guide 1.97 by January 1, 1984. Because of anticipated problems with manpower availability during December 1983, we will not be able to submit our response at that time. We, therefore, request an extension of that submittal date to February 1, 1984.
