Dear Str. Schwencer:
Pursuant to our ccamitment in the referenced letter, enclosed is the Process Centrol Program for the Limerick Generating Station Solid Radwaste System, prepared in accordance with Standard Review Plan 11.4 of NUREG-0800. This program establishes acceptable boundary conditions for operation of the solid radwaste processing system to provide reasonable assurance that dewatering of packaged wastes is complete, with less than one percent free liquid.
The process parameters which affect dewatering operations are centrifuge feed rate, feed stream solids concentration, and centrifuge pond depth. Acceptable ranges of these parameters were established during preliminary performance testing of the dewatering equipment. A dewatering performance verification test will be included as part of the solid radwaste system preoperational testing to validate the process cont rol s.
Preoperational testing is scheduled for April, 1984.
A final Process Control Program will be submitted upon analysis of these test results.
