Enclosed are thirty four copies of selected sections of Chapter 1, Introduction and General Description of Plant, Chapter 3, Design of Structures, Components, Equipment, and Systems, Chapter 4, Reactor, Chapter 5, Reactor Coolant System and Connected Systems, Chapter 6, Engineered Safety Features, Chapter 7, instrumentation and Control Systems, Chapter 8, Electrical Power, Chapter 9, Auriliary Systems, Chapter 10, Steam and Power Conversion System, Chapter 11, Radioactive ll'aste blanagement, Chapter 12, Radiation Protection, Chapter 15, Accident Analysis, Chapter 16, Technical Specifications, Chapter 17, Quality Assurance, Chapter 18, Human Factors Engineering, Chapter 19, Response to Severe Accident Policy Statement, Chapter 20, Question and Response Guide, of the Standard Safety Analysis Report (SSAR) for the Advanced Boiling Water Reactor (ABWR).
This submittalincludes the addition of the following information: reactor building IIVAC update; control building HVAC update; fire hazard analysis methodology update; selected responses to SER open items and amends Chapter 19 and Chapter 20 to include responses to Request for Additional Information dated December 20,1990.
In addition there are other changes to various sections of the SSAR which are identified, along with the above changes, on the page change instruction sheet.
