Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station Docket No. 50/395 Seismic Confirmatory Program

Dear Mr. Denton:

South Carolina Electric & Gas Conpany (SCE&G) met with the Staff on Octcher 11, 1983, to discuss the results of our Seismic Confirmatory Program and the schedule for its ccmpletion to satisfy License Condition C(25) by Novsber 16, 1983.

Specifically, SCE&G was requested to provide the following information by the dates identified:

(1) Four (4) representative analyses of equiptent design margin studies and a draft equipnent list of active balance of plant conponents by October 18, 1983.

(2) Draft report of the Seismic Confirmatory Program including equipnent design margin analyses by Novenber 1,1983.

(3) Illuipnent design margin analyses as required by the NRC Staff during the forthcoming Audit at Gilbert Associates on Novenber 1,1983.

(4) Final report of the Seismic Cbnfirmatory Program as soon as available, but no later than Novenber 16, 1983.

In accordance with the above schedule, SCE&G hereby subnits five (5) copies of representative analyses for four couponents in the Virgil C. Sunner Nuclear Station and a draft equipnent list of active balance of plant ccnponents for cold shutdown. 'Ibe pieces of equipnent included in this submittal are as follows:
