This submittal contains an update to our original certification of the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station simulation facility in accordance with the requirements of 10CFR55.45 (b) (5). This report contains a description of the previous four years of performance tests, any uncorrected performance test failures with a schedule for correcting any such failures, a schedule for the next four years of planned perfonnance tests, and a description of other testing performed following simulator modifications.
In accordance with the requirements of 10CFR55.45 (b) (5), Entergy Operations will submit a similar report approximately four years frcan this date.

Summary of Major Changes Since Last Submittal-
]
1.
General a.
The Grand Gulf simulator was upgraded by General Physics
-International over the.1991 - 1994 time period. Training commenced with the new models in March 1994.
b.
The tollowing simulator back panels were added by.this upgrade:
1H13-P610 - Control Rod Test Instrument Panel Note: Only the RPS power supply and transfer portion of this panel are functional) 1H13-P845 - Offgas Panel 1H13-P631 - Division 2 ADS Panel c,
The following major models were replaced:
i Core Thermohydraulics and Neutronics Model.
Reactor Recirculation System Main Steam Turbine s
Condenser Condensate System Feedwater System Containment and Drywell d.
An offgas system model was added.
e.
Radiation transport was added to all major models.
f.
An advanced instructor station was added. The instructor booth was modified to visually isolate and sound proof the booth from the simulated control room.
g.
The telephone system was replaced.
B.
Future changes 1.
General a.
Simulation of the plant BOP computer is in process of being upgraded in accordaace with the Plant Data System upgrade being implemented in the plant control room.
C.
Description of the Previous Four Years of Performance Testing 1.
The transient tests, malfunction tests, steady state tests and computer real time test were all completed as stated in the March 1991 submittal with no failures.

Uncorrected Performance Test Failures and Schedule for Correction 1.
Documented simulator discrepancies are corrected based upon training impact. -Currently there are no test discrepancies which seriously impact licensed operator training.

' Schedule for the Next Four Years of Performance Tests 1.
All transient tests, steady state tests and the computer real:
time test will be performed annually.
2.
Approximately one-fourth of the malfunction tests will be performed each year as follows:
a.
1995 - Malfunctions in the following systems:

Standby Liquid Control System Neutron Monitoring System Vessel Instrumentation Reactor Water Cleanup b.

Residual Heat Removal System Low Pressure Core Spray High Pressure Core Spray Leak Detection Main Steam System and Safety Relief Valves c.

Condensate and Feedwater systems Radiation Monitoring Turbine and Turbine Control Turbine Lube Oil Generator and Generator Auxiliaries Circulating Water system d.
1998 - Malfunctions in the following systems:
Heating Ventilation and Cooling systems Offgas system Electrical Distribution System (AC and DC)

Other testing performed following simulator modifications and deficiency resolutions 1.
Malfunctions and other' simulator features are added, modified, or deleted as determined by training needs, industry events, or the plant design change process. Retests which may include portions of the affected tests may include several tests depending on the problem resolution.
