NARRATIVE SU)SIARY Month: August, 1983 Oconee Unit one entered the month of August in a refueling outage. Zero power physics testing commenced on the-17th, and the Unit was online on the 19th. A dump valve problem on the moisture separator drain tank resulted in a trip on the

'~

19th, and again on.the 22nd. A turbine os,erspeed test was conducted August 20 and power escallation . testing at 40%, (3%, 75%, and 95% was completed by the end of the month. The Unit ended the month at full power.

- DOCKET NO: 50-270 UNIT: Oconee 2 DATE: 9-15-83 NARRATIVE SU) DIARY Month: August, 1983 Oconee Unit 2 operated at-full power until August 2nd, when the Unit tripped due to a momentary loss of DC input power to the turbine control system. The Unit returned to service the-same day although power escalation was held up at 33%

and 50% due to a turbine extraction valve failing to open. The Unit operated

- Oconee Unit 3 entered the-month at 100% power. Power was reduced briefly to 95%

on the 1st. to work on-the steam jet air ejectors. The Unit operated at full load until the 25th. when the Unit was shutdown to replace leaking pressurizer code relief valves. _ The Unit remainded shutdown through the end of the ' month.
